UPDATE: August 4th, 2023 9:32am EST

Thank you all for your patience during the outage. We have upgraded the operating system cluster wide to Rocky Linux 8.8.

The lingering password issues should be resolved and all users should be able to access the cluster. We’ll be wrapping up some loose ends over the next few days, so your continued patience is appreciated.

We are aware that the gpu and icgpu nodes are currently unavailable. We hope that these will be back in their respective queues by the end of the day.

UPDATE: August 3rd, 2023 8:56pm EST

Users should be able to once again access the system. We are aware that some users are experiencing password related login issues and are investigating. We will continue to keep you updated as we have more information.

UPDATE: August 3rd, 2023 9:34am EST

We are extending the Rockfish downtime until August 3rd at 5:00PM EST due to unexpected compatibility issues. The team is working hard to resolve these issues and we will send an e-mail as soon as Rockfish is available.

We know that unexpected delays can be frustrating and apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATE: August 1st, 2023 4:10pm EST

We need to extend the downtime until August 3rd at 12:01AM EST due to unexpected compatibility issues.  We will continue to give updates. 

UPDATE: July 31st, 2023 1:30pm EST

Systems team is currently working on completing maintenance and bringing Rockfish back to normal operation.  We will continue to give updates the following days.

All Rockfish Systems will be unavailable beginning Monday July 31st 8:00 AM EST and ending Wednesday August 2nd at 12:00PM EST. The Systems team will be performing major system and OS upgrades during the outage.

We strongly recommend users to copy any data that may be needed during this downtime to an external device as access to Rockfish storage will not be available.
