Research Spotlight: Somdatta Goswami

Goswami is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Systems and Systems Engineering. Her research focuses on advancing Computational Mechanics and Scientific Computing with the help of state-of-the-art machine-learning approaches. Leading the Centrum IntelliPhysics group, her research focuses on developing algorithms that enhance numerical simulations in engineering, physical, and biological systems.

Staff Spotlight: Andre Barbosa

This month, we spotlight Andre Barbosa, who joined ARCH in early 2024 as an Assistant Research Scientist on the User and Scientific Support team. With a background in computational biology, Andre focuses on optimizing analysis workflows and troubleshooting computational issues for researchers.

IDIES Annual Symposium Registration

Register today to attend the Institute for Data-Intensive Engineering and Science (IDIES) Annual Symposium on Thursday, October 17th at Scott-Bates Commons. This full-day event will feature engaging talks and project updates centered around big data.
 
The symposium will bring together expert practitioners from various divisions of Johns Hopkins University, government agencies, and private industry. Participants will enjoy presentations from distinguished keynote speakers and project updates from this year’s IDIES Seed Initiative Recipients and Summer Student Fellows, along with a juried poster session.
